Stroller Strides

What can I expect from a Stroller Strides workout?

Each class is a 60-minute full-body workout, including walking (or running, if you are up for it!), resistance (body weight, environmental, or bands), core, and stretching. Instructors help you adapt the workout to your fitness level, while engaging your children through songs and games.

I just had a baby. When can I start working out?

We recommend waiting until you have medical clearance from your physician (normally 6 weeks postpartum). Babies can attend class at any age as long as they ride in your stroller.

What do I need to bring to my first class?

The only thing that is absolutely necessary for class is yourself and your stroller! Here is a list of what we recommend you have for a great experience.

  • Water
  • A towel or mat for stretching and doing core work
  • A snack, water, and/or small toy for your child
  • A SMILE!

We are all moms, and we know that things get forgotten. Please don't worry if you come to class without these things, we will help you make it work. If you forget your smile, we will find it at class!

Do I need a jogging stroller?

No! As long as you have a sturdy stroller, you can participate in class. Most of our clients find that a jogging stroller enhances their experience and allows them to run between stations, but many clients use their everyday stroller in class. We do move quite a bit and tend to go over some grass, so umbrella strollers don't work quite as well.

What happens if it’s raining?

Be sure to join the Fit4Mom Clear Lake Facebook page to get updates about weather-related location changes.

What if my baby cries?

What? Your baby cries sometimes?

It's totally fine! We have all had kids who cry during class and it doesn't bother us at all! The instructor will try to help you out as much as she can. We sing, blow bubbles, and interact with the kids to keep them as happy as possible. We can push your stroller around while you exercise if that helps, and we have a "bag of fun" that has toys and books. Sometimes, none of that will work and it's up to you what you'd like to do. If they just need to cry until they fall asleep, they won't be disturbing the class so you don't need to worry. If your baby ever cries so much that you miss a class, we will credit that class back to you.

Body Back

What is Body Back?

Body Back is a results-based workout for moms only. Whether you just had a baby or had one twenty years ago, this program will help you unlock your personal possibilities in an inspiring and powerful environment.

The high-intensity, interval-based total body workout meets in two-month sessions that include fitness assessments, individual goal-setting, online support, and two 60-minute, in-person workouts per week.

Do I need to already be in shape?

You can come to us wherever you are, although we do ask that you be six months postpartum and free from injuries or ailments that would prevent you from training at a high intensity.

What kind of results can I expect from the Body Back program?

If you commit 100% to the workout and meal plan, you can expect to see improvements in your strength, posture, and endurance. Although not always the ultimate goal, many moms also report weight loss. Most importantly, the program will help you feel strong, motivated, and inspired.

Can I bring my kids to a Body Back workout?

Not this time! Body Back is YOUR time to recharge and do something for yourself.
